Evan Longoria is now the #1 ranked third baseman in fantasy baseball, no questions asked. Alex Rodriguez had a good run as the top 3B, but Longo is now the future. He is undoubtedly worth a first round selection, especially considering the talent pool at third is shallow.

Shortstop is usually the position you want to grab cheap sources of steals and batting average and some runs as well. However, two names rank atop the position this year and both should be first round draft picks come draft time. Our staff #1 overall shortstop may slightly surprise you.
