PGA Golf Power Rankings

RankGolferNotes
.Phil Mickelson (2)After winning another green jacket at The Masters, he took 2nd at the Quail Hollow Championship. He has been playing the most consistent golf all year and if he can pick up another win soon, he can become the world's #1 golfer for the first time in his career.
.Tiger Woods (1)He was a few decent shots away from winning another green jacket when he tied for fourth at The Masters. However, since then he missed the cut at the Quail Hollow and failed to finish at The Players due to a neck injury. Though he hasn't been playing Tiger-like golf, he is always a threat to win any tournament.
.Lee Westwood (3)Has tremendous skill, but his inability to maintain that high level of play during the final rounds at The Masters and The Players cost him. He finished 2nd in Augusta and tied for fourth at TPC Sawgrass after being the sole leader through the first 54 holes of both tournaments. Still is always among the top of the leaderboard when he is in the field and he has a very short memory.
.Ernie Els (7)He is one of two guys on tour with multiple wins this season coming at the World Golf Championship-CA Championship and the Arnold Palmer Invitational. He has two other top tens and has just been playing phenomenal golf all season long. With the skill this guy has, he may very likely win a couple more tournaments by years end - including a major.
.Steve Stricker (4)He is one of the best ball strikers on tour. He already has one victory at the Northern Trust Open to go along with three other top ten finishes. Look for him to make a run for a major championship this year.
.Anthony Kim (10)Amazing. That pretty much sums up this kid. He made a crazy run for the green jacket in the final round of The Masters to finish 3rd, finished 2nd at the Honda Classic, and won the Shell Houston Open. He has the ability to make a ton of birdies and looks to try for his for first major championship at the U.S. Open.
.Jim Furyk (5)With wins at the Transitions Championship and the Verizon Heritage, he has already staked a claim to be among the top money makers on tour this year. He shows great poise on the course and is a legitimate contender to win his second major championship.
.Ian Poulter (6)He plays great golf. He has one victory on tour this year at the World Golf Championships-Accenture Match Play Championship and finished 10th at The Masters. He has the ability to win a major championship and looks to do so for the first time this year.
.Robert Allenby (12)A putt that came up just a qaurter of an inch short on the famous island seventeen at TPC Sawgrass during the final round of The Players Championship cost him a potential playoff with Tim Clark for the victory. Instead, he took 2nd place at The Players to go along with his other three top ten finishes on the year so far. He has all the skills to win his first major this year.
.Luke Donald (13)He has four top tens already this year including a 2nd place finish at the Northern Trust Open and a tie for 3rd at the Verizon Heritage. Although his driving distance is 12 yards shorter then the tour average, he more than makes up for it with his driving accuracy, greens in regulation, and scrambling.
